New Electric Ferry Project Expands KONGSBERG's Autonomous Vessel Newbuild Project Portfolio

KONGSBERG has signed a Research & Innovation contract with technology acceleration organisation PILOT-E for the development of zero emission, full-electric, autonomous ferry concepts. The overall vision for the PILOT-E Autonomous Ferry concept is to develop a state-of-the-art ferry as an integrated, zero emission aspect of a total national transportation plan.

KONGSBERG Wins EPCI Contract for Newbuild LNG Fuelled RoPax Ferry

Kongsberg Maritime has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation contract with Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft, a subsidiary of Siem Group. This is the second RoPax contract that Kongsberg Maritime has been awarded at FSG. The 'Full Picture' contract, valued at approximately €20 million.

Kongsberg Maritime: K-Fleet Voyage Application Verified for New EU MRV Regulations

K-Fleet Voyage, KONGSBERG’s digital application for monitoring ship fuel consumption and emissions has been verified by Ecoxy AS for use under the EU Emission Trading Scheme and the new EU Monitoring, Reporting and Verification for maritime transport regulation. Ecoxy AS is accredited by Norwegian Accreditation as a verifier according to ISO14065 for the ETS and EU-MRV.

Hydroid's REMUS 6000 Plays Key Role in the Discovery of the USS Indianapolis Wreckage

Led by Paul Allen's team, the 6000 meter-rated Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) was used to gather the sonar data that helped locate the USS Indianapolis wreckage 5,500 meters below the ocean's surface.

Neptune Survey Singapore mobilises KONGSBERG equipment on two vessels

In December 2016, Neptune Survey Singapore mobilized a spread of KONGSBERG UPM equipment that includes APOS Survey and cNODE MiniS transponders on both the Sea Trucks Jascon34 and the Survey Support Vessel, the Far Scout to support the Enap Sipetrol Argentina pipelay construction for its PIAM Project in the Magallanes Field, offshore Argentina.
