KONGSBERG's New Integrated Position Reference Solution Wins OSJ Dynamic Positioning Award

The award was given for KONGSBERG's new integrated Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) positioning solution, DPS i2 & i4, which was chosen to win in a public online vote. Launched in October last year, DPS i2 & i4 represents a cutting-edge integrated solution for DP reference applications.

Good order intake and cash flow in the fourth quarter

KONGSBERG signed new orders valued at NOK 5,015 million in the fourth quarter, and a cash flow of NOK 1,317 million. Accumulated for 2017 the Group has revenues of NOK 14,490 million, and an EBITDA of NOK 1,279 million. The Board of Directors suggest a dividend of NOK 3,75 per share for the financial year 2017.

SEACOR Marine Orders Unique Hybrid Power and DP Upgrades for Three More Platform Supply Vessels

KONGSBERG to deliver ‘Full Picture’ upgrades for a further three Platform Supply Vessels owned by Mantenimiento Express Marítimo SAPI de CV, SEACOR Marine’s joint venture in Mexico. The contract follows the September 2017 contract for the same ground-breaking upgrade on the SEACOR Maya PSV, which was an important step towards reducing the environmental footprint of offshore operations.

New Norwegian Autonomous Shipping Test-Bed Opens

An official autonomous shipping test-bed was opened in Horten yesterday (6 December), on the coast of Norway. Established to support the growth in development of new solutions for autonomous maritime operations, the new area is open to both Norwegian and international organisations, and is designed to be a convenient, safe, non-congested space to trial new technology and vessels.

Improved profitability in third quarter

KONGSBERG has a reduction in revenues in the third quarter of 2017, but restructuring measures improve profitability. The order backlog is at end quarter lower than previous quarters, but order intake within defence is expected to improve in the fourth quarter.

SAAB Chooses KONGSBERG Naval Sonars for Mid-Life Upgrade of Göteborg-Class Corvettes

Kongsberg Maritime has been selected to deliver ST2400 VDS (Varial Depth Sonar) systems for Anti-Submarine Warfare applications to the Royal Swedish Navy as part of SAAB's upgrade program for the Göteborg-Class Corvettes fleet. The main purpose of the ST2400 VDS is to detect submarines, mines and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles in Littoral waters.
