Kongsberg Maritime underwater image competition winners announced

Kongsberg Maritime has selected the winners of ‘The Full Picture Photo and Video Competition', which ran from 26th August until 30th November 2014. With iPad Minis on offer as prizes and the chance for some entries to be used in Kongsberg Maritime marketing activities, the company's international camera user-base submitted a wealth of fantastic underwater stills and video. Visitors to the Kongsberg Maritime booths at this week's Underwater Intervention 2015 in New Orleans and Subsea Expo 2015 in Aberdeen can see some of the best entries on display.

For 2014, KONGSBERG has growth in operating revenues, a strong net cash flow from operations and a record influx of new orders valued at more than NOK 22 billion. The Board suggests a record-high dividend of NOK 9.25 per share.

Kongsberg Maritime expands Louisiana office and training facility

Kongsberg Maritime announces that it has made a major investment in Louisiana with the purchase of approximately 5.2 acres for new construction on an 82,980 sq ft office and training facility. Construction on the St. James Business Park property located on James Drive East in St. Rose, Louisiana is scheduled to begin this spring.

SAAB chooses KONGSBERG sonar and multibeam systems for Swedish submarines

Defence and security company SAAB has selected a cutting-edge Kongsberg Maritime hydroacoustic package for installation on two Swedish A19 submarines. The delivery will consist of SA9510S Mine Avoidance and Navigation Sonar for submarines and the leading EM 2040 Dual RX multibeam echosounder.

A record year for Kongsberg Maritime underwater camera orders

Kongsberg Maritime has reported that its Standard Products team generated more orders in 2014 than any single year before it. This record breaking performance was driven by the popularity of the Kongsberg Maritime OE14-370 Colour Zoom Camera and the long-standing support of many of the leading subsea survey, science and construction organisations, including Fugro, Oceaneering and Saab Seaeye.

New quick-deploy 'PulSAR' side scan sonar for search and recovery operations

Kongsberg Maritime has introduced a new tow fish side scan sonar for use in Search and Recovery (SAR) missions as well as underwater inspection, engineering and scientific surveys. Developed by Kongsberg Geoacoustics and available now, PulSAR is designed for intuitive operation and easy deployment by non-specialised personnel, enabling effective short-notice surveys using vessels of opportunity.
