Increased revenues for KONGSBERG in 2015

The preliminary annual results for 2015 shows revenues of MNOK 17,032, an increase of 2.5 percent from 2014. EBITDA is MNOK 1,784, which gives an EBITDA-margin of 10.5 percent. The order backlog at the end of 2015 was MNOK 19,597.

Unique onboard training system wins prestigious dynamic positioning award

The ground-breaking ‘Onboard Training System', developed by recently acquired Kongsberg Maritime company SMSC, won the prestigious Dynamic Positioning Award at the Offshore Support Journal Conference, Awards & Exhibition in London last week. The sophisticated system, which allows users to control a real vessel under DP, but within a simulated environment, was recognised by the award judges as a completely unique and positive new approach to Dynamic Positioning Operator training.

Dutch government chooses KONGSBERG EM 2040C multibeam for inland waterway surveys

The Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment has selected the EM 2040C very high resolution, shallow water multibeam system to spearhead its inland waterway survey operations. For starters, the Ministry has in 2015 ordered five EM 2040C dual head and dual swath systems and the contract provides the option for additional systems up to a maximum of 11 within the next 10 years.

Kongsberg Maritime cameras set for arctic operations

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia & Aberdeen, UK, February 1st, 2016 – Kongsberg Maritime announced today that it has been selected by L-3 MAPPS to provide the CCTV system for the Royal Canadian Navy's (RCN) new class of Arctic Offshore Patrol Ships (AOPS). L-3 MAPPS is one of the Tier 1 suppliers to Irving Shipbuilding, Prime Contractor delivering the AOPS vessels as a part of the National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy (NSPS). Kongsberg Maritime has over 70 employees in Dartmouth, Vancouver and St. Johns, 190 employees in the UK and approximately 4,600 total across the world.

High resolution mapping of berths, shipping channels and anchorages for Darwin Port

EGS Survey Pty have undertaken the Darwin Port’s annual bathymetry monitoring program utilising their newly acquired Kongsberg dual head EM2040 multibeam echosounder. Vertical uncertainty of better than ±0.10m was achieved for this under-keel clearance survey.

C-Innovation chooses KONGSBERG AUV systems to expand subsea services portfolio

C-Innovation, a member of the Edison Chouest Offshore group of companies and an integrated marine services company specialising in advanced subsea solutions has signed an agreement with Kongsberg Maritime to acquire four new Autonomous Underwater Vehicles. The order adds significant AUV capabilities to C-I's already established Remotely Operated Vehicle fleet.

New subsea positioning transponders from KONGSBERG

Following on from the end of 2015 launch of its new generation underwater positioning system, HiPAP 502, Kongsberg Maritime is introducing a new range of mini medium frequency subsea transponders. With a smaller form factor, improved operational functionality and design, and the use of modern materials the new cNODE MiniS family supersedes the KONGSBERG Mini SSBL transponders (MST) range, which was first available in 2002.
