Depth measurements
The "depth" measurement is the distance from the sea surface down to the sensor. Several catch monitoring sensors provide you with this information.
PI Depth
The PI Depth sensor is a general purpose single measurement sensor. It is provided in three versions, for 300 meters, 600 meters and 1000 meters maximum depth.
PI SeineSounder
The PI SeineSounder is a dual measurement sensor. It provides information about gear depth and distance from gear to bottom. It is designed for maximum utilization on both trawl and purse seine gear.
PI Spread/Depth
The PI Spread/Depth is a dual measurement sensor. It measures both the distance between the trawl doors and the current depth of the trawl door. The sensor must be paired with a PI Remote or PI Remote/Depth sensor, and it is mainly deigned for pelagic and bottom trawls.
PI Remote/Depth
The PI Remote/Depth is a dual measurement sensor. It measures both the distance between the trawl doors acting as a "slave", and the current depth of the trawl door. The sensor must be paired with a PI Spread or PI Spread/Depth sensor, and it is mainly deigned for pelagic and bottom trawls.
