Statoil orders extensive KONGSBERG technology delivery for Johan Sverdrup field worth approximately 200 mill NOK

Kongsberg Maritime has today been awarded a call-off order for delivery of the Safety and Automation System (SAS), Life Cycle Simulator and SAS Information Management System for the four platforms on the Johan Sverdrup field centre. The order is based on the Project Specific Agreement for the Johan Sverdrup SAS awarded to Kongsberg Maritime in May 2014 and contains extensive hardware, software and system engineering competence delivery.

KONGSBERG technology chosen for two new Eversendai Offshore construction jack-up vessels worth approximately 125 MNOK

KONGSBERG has been selected to deliver a complete Electro, Instrument & Telecom (EIT), propulsion, safety, automation and dynamic positioning package for two new Gusto NG-2500X DP II design, offshore construction Jack-Up vessels. The vessels are owned by Vahana Offshore Pte Ltd in Singapore. The contracts were awarded by builder Eversendai Offshore RMC FZE (Shipyard) in RAK Maritime City, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

K-Sim engine chosen for National Defence University of Malaysia

The National Defence University of Malaysia has selected Kongsberg Maritime's sophisticated Engine Room Simulator platform K-Sim Engine for its facility in Kuala Lumpur. It comes just five months after the installation of a K-Sim Polaris ship's bridge simulator by Kongsberg Maritime at the University.

Fincantieri selects KONGSBERG hydroacoustic package for new polar research icebreaker

The new 'RV Kronprins Haakon', the first Norwegian Icebreaker built for Polar research, and the first purpose built polar research vessel since Roald Amundsen's 'Maud' launched in 1917, will start regular science cruises in 2017 with a complete hydroacoustic systems package from Kongsberg Maritime.

Support contract extension keeps Australian Maritime College simulator facilities at the cutting-edge

The Australian Maritime College has opted to extend its Long Term Simulator Support Program with Kongsberg Maritime for a further 5 years. The program ensures that all Kongsberg Maritime simulators installed at AMC's sites in Launceston and Perth are up-to-date and operating optimally. Additionally, the LTSSP provides AMC the opportunity to upgrade to the new K Sim Navigation technology platform.

'Fideicomiso de Formación y Capacitación para el Personal de la Marina Mercante Nacional' ('FIDENA'), on behalf of Mexico's Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT) has selected Kongsberg Maritime offshore simulators for the Marine Education Center in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche.

KONGSBERG donates K-Pos dynamic positioning system to NTNU research vessel

Kongsberg Maritime has donated and installed a K-Pos Dynamic Positioning System aboard the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) owned R/V Gunnerus research vessel. The donation and KONGSBERG's continued support of the University was recognised at a VIP ceremony at the NTNU in Trondheim, Norway.

Live on-water demos and new tech from Kongsberg Maritime at Ocean Business 2015

Kongsberg Maritime is demonstrating its latest developments in underwater mapping and subsea positioning technology for survey and subsea construction applications aboard the RV CALISTA and BILL CONWAY vessels on the Solent throughout Ocean Business 2015. A third vessel, GEOMOTION, will also play host to demonstrations of Kongsberg Maritime's extensive multibeam technology portfolio.
