Kongsberg Maritime wins contract to supply latest engine room simulator to Ghana

The Regional Maritime University (RMU) has awarded Kongsberg Maritime a contract to deliver its K-Sim Engine simulator for its premises in Accra, Ghana. The highly advanced Full Mission Engine Room Simulator (ERS), which is due for delivery in May 2014 will enable RMU to provide education according to STCW requirements.

KONGSBERG's Annual Report 2013 and Sustainability report

Revenues for the group constituted MNOK 16,323, an increase of 4.3 per cent compared to 2012. During 2013, there was considerable growth in both Kongsberg Maritime (KM) and Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies (KOGT). Kongsberg Defence Systems (KDS) achieved an increase in the EBITDA margin from 10.3 per cent to 11.4 per cent, while Kongsberg Protech Systems (KPS) experienced a reduced level of activity, but with good margins. EBITDA for the Group reached MNOK 2,142 compared to MNOK 2,294 in 2012.

New Zealand's Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology prepares for new KONGSBERG engine room simulator

Kongsberg Maritime will deliver the latest version of its leading Engine Room Simulator (ERS), K-Sim Engine, to a new Applied Technology Facility at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) in New Zealand. Taking place in June 2014, this will be the first Kongsberg Maritime ERS delivery to a customer in New Zealand but one of many to leading maritime training institutions in the Southern hemisphere.
