Simrad reveals development of new trawleye technology at Nor-Fishing 2014

Record-high order backlog in Q2

In Q2, Kongsberg Maritime won new orders valued at MNOK 2 594 (MNOK 2 431), and Kongsberg Defence Systems followed up its record influx of new orders in Q1 with new orders in Q2 valued at MNOK 2 019 (MNOK 651). For Kongsberg Protech Systems, new orders in Q2 added up to MNOK 899 (MNOK 438), which was the second highest volume in a single quarter since 2011.

KONGSBERG repeats satellite success with AISSat-2

Kongsberg Seatex provided the payload for the Norwegian AIS (Automatic Identification System) satellite, AISSat-2, launched from Kazakhstan on July 8, 2014. AISSat-2 started its mission delivering AIS data only a few hours after launch.

Heerema chooses Kongsberg Maritime to supply the world's most advanced offshore heavy lift crane simulator

Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) has selected Kongsberg Maritime's K-Sim Offshore simulation platform to enhance crane operator training and the safe, efficient implementation of heavy lift operations. With the contract signed on May 21st 2014, delivery of what will become the world's most advanced offshore heavy lift crane simulator is planned for September 2015. It will be installed at a new simulation centre in the HMC Academy at the company's HQ in Leiden, the Netherlands.

Kongsberg Maritime provides major simulator upgrade for The Artic University of Norway's new priority program within maritime training and R&D projects

UiT, The Artic University of Norway, has selected Kongsberg Maritime to provide cutting-edge upgrades and extensions of existing ship's bridge simulators for navigation and DP training including human factor studies. UiT's strong focus on maritime and offshore training, human factor studies and R&D projects strengthens knowledge and competence in Advanced Operations in the polar environment.
