Simrad website now in French!

Simrad launches a fourth language version of its popular website

The site, which contains a wealth of information from the leading manufacturer of professional fish finding and fishery research solutions now has English, Norwegian, Spanish and French language versions.

With advice and information on Simrad sonar, echosounder and trawl monitoring solutions, www.simrad.com is an important web resource for the worldwide fishing and fishery research sectors. All four versions of the website feature the same easy to navigate layout and numerous data and software downloads. By simply clicking a small flag at the top of the screen, visitors can quickly and easily choose the language they wish to view.

- The information on www.simrad.com is presented in a straightforward manner but the very nature of our business means that it is quite technical information, which means translating it takes time, comments Valerie Hesters of Simrad’s office in Plomeur, France, who was responsible for the translation.

- We now have a complete French language version of the site though, which will make it easier for the French fishing industry to get online and find the information they need.

- This extensive localisation project follows a similar one in 2007 when we introduced a Spanish version of simrad.com, says Mads Dahl, Sales Director, Simrad.
