Speeding up the web presentation
Set up your browser for faster internet connection by disabling the website illustrations
If you are browsing the internet from a vessel in open sea, you may not have a very fast internet connection. Our web site may then respond slowly due to the images and illustrations we have used.
You may try to use another browser. Lots of people claim that Firefox and Opera provide a faster user experience. Both these browsers are free.
However, you may also choose to disable the images and illustrations on our website. This will offer a "text only" presentation, and it will be considerably faster than the "normal" website. Please observe the procedures below for the three most popular browsers.
Internet Explorer (Version 7)
- Open the Tools menu and click Internet options.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- In the large Settings field, scroll down to Multimedia.
- Observe the Show pictures setting.
- Click to remove the marking.
- Click Ok at the bottom of the dialogue box.
To restore the presentation of images and illustrations, repeat the procedure to enable the Show pictures setting.
Firefox
- Open the Tools menu and click Options.
- Click the Content icon.
- Deselect the Load images automatically option.
To restore the presentation of images and illustrations, repeat the procedure to enable the Load images automatically setting.
Opera
- Open the Tools menu and click Preferences.
- Click the Web pages tab.

To restore the presentation of images and illustrations, repeat the procedure to enable the Images setting. |
